Tidy Thoughts
Articles, tips and inspiration all about attainable minimalism for moms and families.
1/12/2022 0 Comments Making the Minimalist ChoiceYou’ll always have to take care of your home, so why not do it in the most efficient way possible to make room in your timeline for other things? Things like spending time with your family and actually enjoying it - instead of being present in face only when you play Monopoly on game night because you can’t remember if you paid your credit card bill when it was due last week and you’re internally panicking. For me (like so many others), the only choice was minimalism as I reached my breaking point. I didn’t want to feel suffocated, surrounded by stuff and stressed out. Even when I tried to “take a break”, I would look around as I sat on the couch and feel lost and overwhelmed as I juggled being a new mom, a wife to a husband just starting a business, and a woman who needed to find herself again (but wasn’t sure what pile to look under!).
Instead of working for your home, your home is now working for you. Time is fleeting - be intentional with it and make the most of it with the people you care about. Today was my grandma's birthday. I wish she would have been able to meet my kids on Earth - I spent a lot of time with her growing up and she was a very special lady; I know she would have loved to spend time with my two cuties. I want more time to be truly present with my family. What do you want out of minimalism?
