1/8/2022 0 Comments Declutter RuthlesslyLet’s get RUTHLESS. Dumping the clutter (“scattered or disordered things that impede movement or reduce effectiveness”), is the first step towards taking back control of your home. Gain time and energy to spend with your family on things you ACTUALLY want to do and use when you get rid of what’s taking up precious space - whether that’s in your home or in your head. Start with mindset… “This is going to drastically improve my and my family’s life" (I know it has for us and many others!!). Your goal is to get rid of 80% of the clutter. And keep 20%. I know it sounds crazy, BUT - think about those last few times you tried to get rid of some of the clutter and you did the opposite - 20% gone here and there, and then it slowly (or quickly) crept back. Now you’re at 120+% of where you were before you started. I personally lived in this cycle for years - then I’d “organize” what I had left, just to have bins overflowing all over again. In order to avoid clutter creeping back, you have to be ruthless. As you start the decluttering process, ask yourself these few questions as you try to decide what to keep and what to get rid of: 🧹 When did I last use this? Will I use it or will somebody else love it more? 🧹 Is this working for me and my family? 🧹 Does this have / need a home? Struggling with decluttering?
